What's On

Walk & Talk is a mixed group of young people who are looking to combine socialising with exercise-based activities. Although activities are often governed by the weather, we try to get outside in the fresh air as often as possible. The aims of the group are:

• To improve mental health by feeling healthier, having someone to talk to, knowing where to go for help or support and reducing loneliness and isolation.
• To improve confidence and self-esteem by feeling part of a group – feeling safe, feeling valued and increasing social interaction.
• To increase social interaction with other young people by developing supportive networks and friendships.

The 4YP Hub is situated in Ipswich town centre and has an open-door policy. We are here from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Friday, and young people are welcome to use any of our facilities. Feeling down or have an issue you need help with? Looking for support with your mental or sexual health? Or just need to use facilities like a shower or kitchen? Our kitchen is here to be used – from hot drinks to cooked meals – feel free to make your own.
Our youth workers are here for brief chats and to help you find the support you need.

The Older Girls Group is a safe, non-judgemental space for girls aged 11–16. It helps participants develop healthy relationships, build friendships and feel a sense of belonging.

The group aims to provide resources, hobbies and experiences that young people may otherwise face barriers to accessing. We encourage open conversations about hygiene, safety, relationships, school and current events. Sessions focus on arts and crafts, games and cooking, while helping participants build confidence and resilience.

The Younger Girls Group is a safe, non-judgemental space for girls aged 7–11. It helps participants develop healthy relationships, build friendships and feel a sense of belonging.

The group differs from the older group by focusing on social skills, self-confidence, self-esteem and identity. It provides a fun space where children can embrace childhood through play, arts and crafts, games and other activities. The group also gives young people opportunities to share their interests and talk about the support they need.

Games Night is a relaxed evening for ages 16+ to enjoy board games, good vibes, and great company. Come hang out, play, and connect with like-minded people.

Out and About is our detached youth work service delivered in communities across Ipswich and the surrounding areas. At scheduled times from Monday to Friday, youth workers visit different locations, making themselves available to young people in their spaces.

By being present and approachable in local areas, Out and About helps ensure young people can get support wherever they spend their time.

East Bergholt Youth Club (EBYC) is a space for young people to feel safe and relax, have a snack, to make and meet friends, be themselves and have fun. Cooking, crafting, board games and team games are just some of the types of activity on offer. We hope there is something for everyone to enjoy on their Wednesday nights.

Kesgrave Hangout offers young people a safe environment to make friends, be themselves and have fun. Working around the ‘Your Night, Your Choice’ motto, young people who come along to Kesgrave Hangout actively help to plan the weekly activities – from cooking, arts and crafts, playing pool, team games and more. We hope there is something for everyone to enjoy on their Thursday nights.
